The Wellness Edit

Your body isn’t something to ‘fix’ before you deserve to feel confident. Shift from ‘how does my body look?’ to ‘what can my body do today?’ Progress is feeling stronger, moving with confidence, and trusting yourself. Your body is your partner, not your project.

Movement is one of the most powerful investments in your long-term health. Pilates builds strength, balance, mobility and posture, supports bone health, reduces stress and keeps you moving well for life. Not about perfection – it’s about a body that lets you enjoy life for years to come.

Every step counts! Aim for 30+ minutes of movement most days – walking the local tracks, a fitness class, or gardening. Helps heart health, mood, energy and wellbeing. Invite a friend and make it routine.

Prioritise daily dental care: dental care starts at home. tooth brushing is the #1 intervention method in preventing periodontal disease. We also offer a variety of at home dental care products for purchase in clinic, because we know that tooth brushing may not be suited for every pet! Check your pet’s teeth regularly and if you notice any signs of smelly breath, book your pet in for a dental check with our experienced team.

As it gets colder we move less and sit more. The spine is designed to move – if sitting at a desk or driving for long periods, stand and move for a few minutes every 30-60 minutes to reduce stiffness and support mobility.

Your nervous system plays a bigger role in pain than you might think. When your body stays in a heightened stress state, muscles can remain guarded and sensitive. Combining hands-on myotherapy with nervous-system regulation can help reduce tension, improve movement and support longer-lasting relief.

Here’s something a lot of people don’t realise — your teeth actually shouldn’t be touching most of the day. When you’re not eating, your jaw should generally be relaxed and your teeth slightly apart. So, quick check while you’re watching this… are you clenching your teeth right now? If you are, drop your shoulders, relax your jaw and give those teeth a break!
